Michelin launch E2+ Truck Tyre at the CV Show

Michelin will unveil their latest truck tyre, the E2+ at the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. The Michelin stand layout has been designed to help commercial vehicle operators to determine the correct Michelin tyre for their particular type of transport operation.

One sector of the stand will feature the latest product from the continuous development programme, the new Michelin E2+, the tyre that delivers greater mileage, has wider versatility and offers improved damage resistance. The E2+ range is perfectly suited for driving on motorways, trunk roads, country lanes or city streets. The new compound for E2+ offers improved mileage and grip advances over the existing E2 products.

The second major section of the Michelin stand features the Energy tyre range, the product that has set new standards of fuel saving for the European transport industry. The heart of this innovative tyre is the tread block design and compound, both of which have been optimised to reduce rolling resistance. Data recorded on many fleet operations show that savings of up to 6% fuel can be obtained whilst an additional 35% more miles can be covered in comparison to the original XDA tyre.

Michelin will unveil their latest extension to the tyre management programme, Michelin Fleet Solutions, a service that takes full responsibility for a fleet operator’s tyres on a fixed, pre-determined rate per kilometre covered.
