The Seat Inca - a tough contender in the light
van sector
The Inca combines all the vital proportions in its loadbay to cater
for the wide variety of needs called for by todays operators. The
impressive loadbay capacity of 2.9 cubic metres makes it one of
the largest and most versatile vans in its class. This capacity
is augmented by the high 625 kg. payload and the generous load floor
and load height proportions.

Designed to accept a standard Euro Pallet with a load length of
1765 mm and a class leading load height of 1270 mm, the Inca provides
a flexible loadspace with exceptional access.
The Inca features unique asymmetric rear doors designed to make
multi-drop operations faster and easier. By engineering a 1200 mm
aperture with the large door 800 mm wide, the Inca is ideal for
operators transporting broken down loads and small packages. Both
doors are designed to open 90 or 180 degrees for optimum versatility.
The large rear window is fitted with rear wash/wipe ensuring good
visibility. Power steering and a full-height interior bulkhead partition
are standard, as well as an anti-theft immobiliser and a full loadbay
liner with tie-down loops.
Powerplant for the Inca is the tried and tested 1.9 litre Volkswagen
SDI unit which provides the best torque in its class, 91 ft.lbs.
at a low 2,200 rpm. This 68 bhp naturally aspirated engine features
the latest emission control system. An oxidising catalytic converter
is combined with an advanced exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR)
which dramatically reduces emission levels while the engine is at
idle, as found in city traffic conditions.
With maximum fuel economy of up to 50mpg (at 56mph) the Inca has
an excellent potential maximum range of 600 miles on a single tankful,
thanks to its large 54 litre (11.8 gallon) fuel tank capacity.
Driver safety is given particular attention with a collapsible steering
column, side impact resisting door beams and an advanced crumple
zone in the Incas nose adding up to one of the most formidable passenger
safety packages in its class. The fuel tank is also fitted with
a leakproof filler neck to prevent escape even in severe impacts
or roll-over situations. The standard fit bulkhead partition adds
to driver comfort and safety by ensuring the load is always separated
from the cabin.
