Woman dies in weekend truck collision

A woman in her 80s was killed when the car she was driving collided with a truck near Carbury in Co Kildare on Saturday (May 17).

The 86-year-old woman who has not been named, lived close to the site of the accident at Ballynamullagh, Carbury.

She was rushed from the scene of the accident to Blanchardstown Hospital, but died later from her injuries.
