TMC Scoops Prestigious Award

TMC Innovations Limited, founded by Rudolf Buré, has been awarded the runner-up certificate for Innovation at the Oxfordshire Business of the Year Awards which were held July 5th. Rudolf Buré’s application of innovation has been undertaken in the field of transport telematics.

This achievement places formal recognition on the development work over more than 25 years by Rudolf Buré, and his drive and determination in always staying at the forefront of technological advancement. The development of the Susie-Track™ product has brought an innovative, reliable and high quality tracking device to the transport market for commercial vehicle trailers and the marine industry. The system is named Susie-Track after the standard electrical connection that powers a trailer on connecting up to its tractor unit, and its open architecture is prepared to work with a wide range of mobile communication and location devices.

Susie-Track™ is now selling internationally and a distributorship/partnership network has been established with leading suppliers in the telematics industry.

With over a quarter of a million trailers in the UK alone, and more than double that number in Western Europe, the potential business is believed to be huge. Ever-increasing pressure on efficiency in logistics performance, as well as for tighter security measures being demanded by insurance companies due to the possible future need for trailer registration, is forcing the transport industry in particular to adopt innovative technology such as that offered by the Susie-Track system.
