Blarney Skip Hire based in Blarney, Co. Cork was established by
Breda OConnor and her daughter Valerie two and a half years
ago. On a recent visit John Loughran discovered the fledgling company
has plans for expansion.

BMC will use its stand, 3-521 at the CV Show to launch its latest model,
the 518.
New Transit Towstep from Brink
Brink UK is Europe's largest towing systems maker and will use its stand,
2-227 at the CV Show for the debut of its new combined towbar and towstep
for the latest Ford Transit range.
New cranes and skip loaders
Partek Cargotec will use its stand 5-431 at the CV Show to introduce three
new Hiab loader cranes and improved Multilift skip loading gear.
Road charging in Dublin must be resisted

Cussolough Transport chooses Thermo King
Dublin based Cussolough Transport, one of the main distributors
for Cuisine de France in Leinster, has recently taken delivery of
the first Thermo King alternator-driven A-1050 refrigeration unit
in Ireland, on a Scania 17 tonne rigid.

DAF appoints new director of product development
DAF Trucks has announced the appointment of Ron Borsboom 41, to
the position of Director Product Development DAF Trucks NV. In his
new position, Ron will be responsible for the wide range of activities
that covers product development. He succeeds Martien de Louw, who
will pursue other business interests outside the company.
Water-borne paints in DAFs chassis paint shop
DAF Trucks in Eindhoven has switched to the use of water-borne paints
for painting the chassis of the CF and XF series. Water-borne paints are
far less harmful to the environment. Conventional paints use solvents
which contribute to the formation of smog and ozone in the atmosphere.

DAF Distributors Ireland Ltd., and Barton Coach Services launched
