MAN at coach and bus show

The Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland welcomed all exhibitors and visitors to its second Coach and Bus Show which was staged at the Royal Dublin Society’s Simmonscourt Pavilion recently. The Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan TD, officially opened the exhibition.

This year’s show was three times the size of the inaugural show two years ago, which is a positive reflection of the importance of tourism and transport to the Irish economy. The attendance was significantly up on the previous show with a tremendous level of interest from home and overseas.

MAN and Brian Noone Ltd. had on display a full range of buses and coaches ranging from 29 seats to 52 seats. The models included:
• MAN 8.220 Indcar Mago
Specification: 29 Fainsa reclining seats with retractable lap belts, Blaupunkt radio/stereo PA system, Thermo King air conditioning, extra dark tinted glass, single glazing.
Chassis specification: 220 BHP, Disc Brakes, ABS, 6 speed Eaton Gearbox with rear air suspension

• MAN 10.220 Indcar Mago
Specification: 33 Fainsa reclining seats with retractable lap belts, double glazing extra dark tinted glass, Blaupunkt radio/Stereo PA System, Thermo King air conditioning, 15 Blaupunkt monitor and video player.
Chassis specification: similar to MAN Mago 8.220
Other vehicles on display were the MAN Indcar ECO 3 11.220 HOCL (38 Seater), MAN Indcar Eco 13.220 HOCL (42 Seater) and MAN Noge Touring 18.350 HOCL (52 Seater).

MAN had a strong presence at the Coach
and Bus Show
