WBB Minerals takes delivery of thirty new PM fitted tankers

WBB Minerals, formerly known as British Industrial Sand, has recently taken delivery of thirty new ERF ECS 11.42 MT tractor units coupled to Feldbinder tankers and equipped with PM on Board Weighers.

Based in Sandbach, Cheshire, WBB Minerals, who specialises in the movement of sand and clay runs a seventy strong fleet, mainly made up of articulated units. Like most of the vehicles in WBB Minerals’ fleet, this latest combination will be delivering silica sand and powder to all areas in the country and key to ensuring maximum profitability on each operation will be the PM on-board weighing systems.

The equipment, which features four loadcells fitted to each unit, will guarantee that the vehicles run at maximum payload on every run and operate safely within the law.

Rob Morris, WBB Minerals’ Transport Manager, who specified PM’s equipment is adamant about the benefits of installing on-board weighing systems. “It reduces the number of visits to weighbridges, speeds up the operation and makes for greater profitability,” he said. “In addition, the service and reliability we get from PM guarantees that none of our vehicles are parked up for any length of time. As far as the tankers are concerned, we chose Feldbinder for their strength and durability.”

All the vehicles, which were delivered by Beeches Garage of Stoke-on-Trent, come with GHH CS80 compressors, supplied and fitted by W.G. Tankers Ltd.
