Jennings Truck Centre T/A Motor Network Ltd 0506-52310 on the Portarlington Road in Tullamore is one of the largest dealerships in Ireland and boasts a top quality equipped premises.

It comprises of 20,000 sq ft of workshops together with five paintshops, a panel beating shop and an engineering shop. It is situated in the centre of Ireland a little over an hour from Dublin and Galway and two and a half hours from Belfast or Cork. Pat Jennings is Managing Director of Jennings Truck Centre. Pat will travel any distance at any time to negotiate a truck deal.

To say that the rise of Hino and Iveco is due to Pat’s dynamism is an understatement. The facts are that Pat Jennings has penetrated the market with Hino and Iveco products and is market leader in his territory for these products.

For over 30 years Pat has been selling the Harris Group products in the Midlands and surrounding areas and his sales are equal to the combined total of all other HGV’s sold in the territory.

Alo McHugh and John Kenny also deal with Finance and Banking while John also assists in the Service Department.

The Service Department has 14 technicians, one electrical engineer, one mechanical engineer, six painters, three panel beaters, three assistants, two drivers and five outside contracters. The Service Department and Paintshop are run by Tom Daly with three assistants and Pat Dunican is Foreman.

in the service department provide top quality repairs, crash repairs, spray painting and servicing be it in the workshop or off site. Assistance is available twenty four hours a day seven days a week all year round be they local or international hauliers. With one telephone call to one of the team members an instant response will be achieved no matter which part of the world a break down occurs. Jennings Truck Centre has four mobile

workshops and 2 recovery trucks, one of which is a brand new 2004 540HP Iveco 6x2 with underlift and also has a 2003 Tractor Unit with Truck Carrier.

Education is a priority in Jennings Truck Centre and all technicians are fully trained both in Ireland and overseas in all aspects of Hino and Iveco. The company has invested large sums in

equipment to ensure delivery of a first class service. The workshops are equipped with Modus Diagnostic Equipment which can reduce down time and labour costs for the customer vehicles.
The Spare Parts Department is fully computerised and carries a 90% availability of fast moving parts. Its parts van is in Dublin everyday and can collect any part required, assuring customers of same day availability for orders placed.

The company has a Leasing Contract Hire and Truck and Van Rental Business also managed by Tom Daly.
The Reception, Sales Office, Administration Office, Waiting Room for drivers and the Parts Department are all at the front of the main building and also have a compound to display new and pre-owned commercials. Four hundred yards up the main road there is a van centre with a two acre site full with top quality pre-owned commercials of all makes and sizes and combinations.
There is a full range of new Hino Trucks including tippers, mixers and block trucks of different specs in stock at all times.

There is a full range of Ivecos in stock at all times including the Daily Van from 2.5 tonne to 6.5 tonne, the Eurocargo from 6 1/2 tonne to 26 tonne, the Stralis Active Time 430 HP, 480 Hp and 540 HP Tractor Units.

The good points about these products and the reason they are market leaders are; the new Hino Euro 3, 360 HP is the lightest 8x4 on the market and gives by far the best fuel consumption making it save the operator thousands of Euro each year. The Hino FY360 8x4 Irish Truck of the Year 2004. The Stralis is market leader in Europe in the Tractor Unit sector and was voted European Truck of the Year 2003, the Eurocargo has just come on the market and is producing unbelievable fuel consumption similar to a van less than a third it size, the Daily again is a beautiful van and is beginning to take on the market leaders and is making big headway.

The company’s preowned commercials are all refurbished, DOE tested for 12 months and guaranteed and this gives the customer great comfort with second to none back up.

It might seem expensive on the day you purchase but to refurbish a vehicle properly costs big money and this of course will leave the customer with a good reliable pre-owned commercial that he can depend on.

Any commercial purchased from a back street dealer or a dealer with no back up begs the question: “How can he provide a proper back up service, a proper warranty deal or in fact prepare the truck properly before he sells it.

Any truck that is traded in no matter how new it is or how well minded it is needs big money spent on it going to its new owner and this is our pride to be able to provide the product and service.

Our customer base extends from the smallest to the biggest and they are all very important to us.

Our sales this year since the 5/1/04 to date have exceeded over 130 vehicles including Hino, Iveco and preowned commercials.
