Bannerman Transport chooses Thermo King

Bannerman Transport, based at Tain in the Highlands of Scotland, has recently taken delivery of a new trailer which has been fitted with a Thermo King Sterling refrigeration unit, supplied by Thermo King Northern in Scotland.

The Bannerman/Thermo King combination

Bannerman Transport was established in 1967 and operates from a depot in the Highlands, transporting a wide range of products from cereals, timber, coal and fertilisers to frozen food and their own range of seafood.
The company specialises in road haulage and operates a fleet of trucks including two temperature controlled semi trailers for use in their frozen food and seafood operation.

Bannerman Transport already has one trailer fitted with a Thermo King temperature control unit and this new purchase forms part of the company renewal programme, replacing a previous Gray & Adams trailer which was also fitted with Thermo King refrigeration.

James Manson of Bannerman’s said: “We have been really pleased with the quality of product and service provided by Thermo King in the past and that is why we have chosen to use them again.”

The fleet (principally Renault Premiums), all operate at the maximum 44 tonne GVW and are used on contracts within their customer base for the movement of products throughout the UK. As part of their total transport package Bannerman’s also operate two cranes (80 and 30 tonne capacity), have 70,000sq. ft. of covered storage, extensive open storage and full ship berthing facilities at the previously owned Admiralty Dockyard in Invergordon.
