Tipper stability
The new T.S Inclinometer, which has recently been launched assists with
the prevention of vehicles and trailers overturning.
|
The product acts like an electronic spirit level and changes the data
into numeric format for the driver to read. A sensor is mounted on the
chassis and measures the camber of the present ground standing. The Safe
Tipping Angle is initially set by the manager and cannot be altered unless
a special key is used. The Inclinometer must be switched on before the
tipping procedure can be commenced. Should the present ground standing
be equal to or greater than the Safe Tipping Angle, the alarm
will sound in the drivers cab, and at the rear of the trailer, and prevent
the tipping operation from continuing.
It is this function that makes the T.S. Inclinometer unique, and will
prevent drivers from making wrong decisions or being intimidated into
making potential overturn disasters. Should the camber be within the scope
of the Safe Tipping Angle, then the T.S. Inclinometer will continue to
monitor the whole tipping operation, advising the driver and any nearby
pedestrians throughout, readily waiting to stop the operation should the
safety standard setting be breached.
The T.S. Inclinometer has many other health and safety factors built in.
