Bandag launches a heavy-duty traction product
The power generated by the engine of todays modern trucks need no
longer be let down by poor drive tyre performance, even in mixed on/off
road and construction applications, tyre manufacture Bandag has claimed.
The new Bandag BDY3 transmits 100% of the engines impressive torque
forces to the ground, regardless of whether the truck is operating on
treacherous soft soil or potentially destructive rock fragments.
The BDY3s directional tread pattern and its name derive from a popular
new tyre in the building sector. The lug design has been optimised not
only to increase traction and grip in all driving conditions, but also
to reduce wear, which is good for the tyre budget. In a nutshell, BDY3F
brings the peace of mind that every fleet manager is looking for.
Fleet managers know that only the best on/off road tyres will perform
in extreme driving conditions. Premium tyres deliver superb traction and
withstand the harshest of environments. And when the tyres tread
becomes worn, the casing will probably still be unharmed or perfectly
repairable.
And while cheap tyres need to be scrapped all too quickly and show just
how expensive they can be, the new Bandag BDY3 rescues the valuable casings
of premium tyres by restoring the performance levels of the original tyre.
In fact, the Bandag BDY3 retread often performs even better than the original
tyre it is built on!.
Extra-thick tread rubber, protected shoulder area, super-large tread blocks
and a tough Bandag rubber compound act like a shield to protect the casing
from crown to sidewall. Tearing, scrubbing, sharp edges and lateral forces
have hardly any effect on the BDY3 - even when its impressive tread pattern
comes into play to help a heavy engine heave tons of building materials
to the top of a steep and slippery hill.
The BDY3 is made to last. Better still, it grants a second and possibly
a third long tyre life to the best on/off road drive tyres. Top quality
and reliability are now available at a fraction of the cost of a new tyre.
