Parripak chooses Thermo King

Parripak Foods, one of the fastest growing vegetable and garlic processors based in the UK, has recently purchased three new Thermo King units, a V-700 50 max which will be used to deliver chilled prepared vegetables, a TS500 and a Thermo King Sterling.

Based in Shefford in Bedfordshire, Parripak produces a wide range of prepared vegetables and is also a leader in the processing of fresh garlic, ginger and chillies. All products are processed to order and dispatched to customers within 24 hours of production via in-house cold chain distribution. Customers include a variety of food and ready-meal manufacturers.

The Parripak fleet consists of 12 vehicles ranging from small vans to 44 tonne artics. The entire fleet is temperature controlled with 90 per cent of it fitted with Thermo King units.

Parripak Foods was founded in 1987 as a diversification enterprise to a family business in the growing and pre-packing of onions. The business quickly expanded from producing prepared onions to processing a wide variety of vegetables and now operates from a purpose-built 45,000 sq ft. factory.
