Morrey Oils gets two tanks in one!

Morrey Oils has taken delivery of yet another Crossland tanker, one of eight new tankers purchased in the last two years to enter its expanding fleet of latest specification vehicles.

Morrey Oils has hauled Bitumen and all grades of fuel oils for many years, but this latest unit, the idea of Morrey’s Geoff Kendrick, effectively provides two tanks in one.
The Crossland tanker is built to the lightest and latest Bitumen requirements, but for now, has fittings and pumping for a heavy fuel oils tank.

The heavy fuel oil and black oils market can be very seasonal and a little unpredictable so, with relatively little effort, this tank can be easily convented back to Bitumen use, rather than the tank being stood idle when demand drops.
Traditionally, the design of bitumen and fuel oil tanks were world’s apart.

“Crossland has managed to make its latest bitumen tank so light that a compromise tank to do both jobs is entirely feasible,” said Geoff. “Furthermore I’m delighted with them - even with the pump they tare at around 7 tonnes”.
