Mc Donnell Commercials Win Volvo Truck Top Dealer Award

McDonnell Commercials have won the Volvo Truck Dealer Award 2005 beating competition from over 90 Volvo outlets in the UK and Ireland. They were presented with the award by Markku Olkinuora, the MD of Volvo Truck and Bus, at a prestigious award ceremony in the UK recently.

"Brian McDonnell and his management team achieved an excellent result to win the Top Dealer Team Competition for 2005, competing against teams from both Ireland and the UK. McDonnell Commercials have been providing transport solutions in the North East since 1973 and employ over forty people. In 2005 they held 24% of the market share for commercial vehicles over 10 ton and 40% of the tractor unit market.

All technicians receive continuous training and many are skilled in specialised areas. Other services provided are tachograph calibration and repairs (Analogue and Digital), speed limiter calibration, brake testing and DOE preparation. Engineering services provided include, chassis laser alignment, chassis alteration and tail lift fitting and repairs. The workshop also caters for all accident and crash repair work. Staffed by competent and experienced personnel, its Parts Department supply customers with a wide range of genuine parts for trucks and trailers. They also have a mobile sales van covering the surrounding counties. They have recently extended their range of trailer parts and are agents for Arvin Meritor, BPW and Roadcrew products.
