Chieftain Trailers - market leadersChieftain Trailers Ltd, have just completed a state of the art facility spending £1.85million at their premises outside Dungannon, N.Ireland boasting a production facility of 80,000 sq feet with over 130 employees and a contemporary office building of 6000sq ft costing £580,000 comprising of 3 stories Chieftain is certainly standing Tall!

In a year that the company has experienced extensive Sales Growth, there is no stopping them when it comes to innovation and design. The company has introduced robotic welding at an investment of £620,000 to gain an extensive advantage over other manufacturers who have opted to source cheaper components from India, China & Eastern Europe.
John Quinn Managing Director says “the recent introduction of robotic welding to the company allows them to perform first class precision welding and facilitate the execution of complex tasks; the robots have also given us a unique advantage in time management allowing us to improve the quality of supply & demand to meet the needs of the marketplace, with a competitive edge in reduced labour costs and superior welding penetration.

The company has also invested over £300,000 in new painting booths which allows Chieftain to offer customers the advantage of having their new trailer painted in their corporate colours using I.C.I Two Pack Paint.
John, appreciates that moving forward with Technology can only help improve with production and quality of his products however, he does not under estimate the importance of his fully certified welding team which is backed by a quality and innovative design team and he believes it is imperative to have the highest standard of employee’s within the company.
Chieftain recognises the importance of continued training and over the next two years will be investing £380,000 in training, Research & Development and Design.

The New Chieftain “Rock Star” Tipping Trailer

This trailer is unique in design in the commercial sector and is complete with Hardox Steel body, 44 Tonne gross train weight, 25% extra load compared to 8 wheeler truck and has the options of an insulated body and a cover.
Not content with a strong and healthy product base in supplying the construction and agricultural industries, it was the strategic vision and diversification of John Quinn that now see Chieftain Trailers as one of the best in manufacturing to the Commercial Sector and Rail Industry throughout the UK and Europe.

Chieftain Trailers are now manufacturing over 40 products a week and are aiming to increase this every year over the next 5 years.
The company has recently started to export Rail Trailers to Europe and are hoping to introduce the rest of their commercial products to the European market place in the next 3 years.
The company does not intend to stop moving forward in their aim to diversify in product development and already they are planning a new development to enhance facilities at their 80,000sq ft premises to start later this year with a further investment of £500,000
