GE TIP Tankers pave the way with more street cleansing
tankers
GE TIP Tanker Services, the specialist tanker hire division of GE Equipment
Services, have continued in its municipal expansion with the introduction
of 15 (fifteen) new Medium Volume Combinations (MVCs) Gully Whales.
The addition of these new specialised assets built by Whale Tankers will
create the largest rigid and articulated municipal and waste vacuum tanker
hire fleet in the UK. With the secure financial backing of GE, TIP Tankers
continues to provide innovative and flexible rental and contract hire
solutions coupled with a large menu of back up services to suit all operations.
The MVC Gully Whales will be of 1,800 gallon (8,020 litre) capacity and
will feature a stainless steel lining, fully hydraulic door and clamps
with a five inch gully boom.
The vacuum system is based on a Mistral 400 series exhauster/compressor
with an output of 245 cfm (cubic feet per minute), whilst the jetting
system can deliver 125 litres per minute at 125 bar. The main hose reel
is self-aligning and hydraulically operated and incorporates a 100m high
pressure hose, with a secondary 30m of high pressure hose.
All trucks are mounted on Volvo FLE chassis and will operate out of four
dedicated TIP Tanker locations of Avonmouth, Knottingley, Leicester and
Liverpool.
Responding to the increase in customer demand for modern, truck mounted,
vacuum tankers, GE TIP Tanker Services has continued to expand its rental
fleet of non hazardous liquid waste tankers with delivery of new equipment
from Whale Tankers of Solihull. The fleet of new stainless steel tankers
comes in a range of different capacities from 2,400 gallon tankers
mounted on 4x2 chassis to 3,400 gallon 6x4, and 4,400 gallon 8x4 chassis.
GE TIP Tanker Services, Managing Director, Mr. Howard Wilkinson comments;
This further large investment coupled with existing specialist vehicles
continues to allow a one-stop municipal tanker resource for all needs;
thats what our customers have come to expect from GE TIP Tanker
Services.
