Another bumper CV show in store
The sixth annual Commercial Vehicle Show takes place at the Birmingham
NEC on April 25-27. Expanding upon the proven formula of the past while
adding some notable improvements into the mix, this years extravaganza
promises to be even bigger and better than ever.

The Commercial Vehicle Show has been a resounding success since its inception
in 2000, growing significantly each year since its genesis to become the
single largest road transport and logistics event taking place in the
UK. With major purchasing decision makers from every sector of the transport
industry and commerce flocking to the NEC to learn about the latest advancements
in the distribution and storage of the goods they handle, this three-day
event has become almost a mandatory visit.

Spread across five larger halls, the layout for the 2006 CV Show is designed
to clearly signpost key sector groups. Similar products and services will
be placed strategically within easy reach of each other, within the same
general area. Availing of this layout, visitors will be able to make the
most efficient use of their time, visiting directly the primary points
of interest instead of wandering around aimlessly.

The Skills Centre, which was introduced last year to address the skills
shortage in the industry, will highlight career and training opportunities
across the full spectrum of transport/logistics. This will be centrally
placed, at the heart of the show, and will focus strongly on personnel,
training and HR media (coordinated by IRTE).
The exhibitor portfolio is being widened to include materials handling
and storage equipment, tracking organisational developments within the
operator business, where a single function now controls product movement
from rack to end user. Within the past two years, fork lift trucks, dock
levellers, racking, logistics software and telematics have all joined
the show with mutually-beneficial outcome to visitors and exhibitors alike.
More exhibitors than ever were on hand to meet visitors at last years
CV Show, where the floor area exceeded 90,000 sq metres for the first

The Commercial Vehicle Show is Britains largest and most successful
