Specialising in both cars and light commercial vehicles, Quirkes have developed a stellar reputation for an exceptionally high level of workmanship. It is very much a one-stop shop for vehicle maintenance: as well as full service and repair facilities, all types of diagnostics are also provided by a crew of fully-qualified and highly-motivated technicians.
Quirkes utilise only the most technologically-advanced diagnostic equipment and tools. Their spacious, (3,500+ sq ft) state-of-the-art premises is stocked with all the latest computerised technology and a team of mechanics is on hand to man a fully-functional six-bay workshop, with the test centre located in an adjacent building.

Quirkes is very much a family business. Con’s son Cathal is the longest-serving member of staff and manages the new test centre. Having branched into testing light commercials about two years ago, the company has successfully managed to find a niche to complement the strong service/repairs business. Repeat custom accounts for a large percentage of daily work and Con is delighted to hold contracts with a Who’s Who of local businesses, from large to small.

As the proprietor explains: “We’ve never had any need for advertising. We have a good reputation and that has kept business brisk. When you’re providing a quality service, then people tend to find out about it. The vast majority of our customers have heard of us through word of mouth. We’ve built up a really good name for ourselves and we always stand over everything we do. That’s the only way to run a business these days.
