Petrol Pump and Tank installation experts
 |
Jim Crowley Petrol Pump and Tank Installations was formed in the mid
eighties and grew steadily over the years supplying mostly second hand
mechanical pumps at first and later re-conditioned electronic pumps imported
from the UK to meet the growing demand for unleaded petrol.
As forecourts grew in size so did the company and all types of forecourt
equipment was supplied and installed including new pumps, storage tanks,
interceptors, pump controllers etc. In the early 90s a decision was taken
to undertake the forecourt construction as well as the mechanical installation
and Jim Crowley petrol pump and tank was the first company in Ireland
to offer a full turn key package to its customers.
As well as forecourt development JCPPTI also supplied and installed storage
tanks and oil depot equipment for oil distributors around the country.
Commercial pumps and fuel management systems were also supplied to hauliers,
fishing ports and marinas and forms a very big part of the business to
day. Jims son Stephen has worked in the business most of his working
life and is a very competent and experienced operator and has recently
taken over the pump and tank installation side of the business from Jim.
Changes in legislation regarding emissions from commercial vehicles is
now being implemented and a requirement to use a Urea based substance
called Adblue is a must in most vehicles. Also new forms of alternative
fuels such as Bio-Diesel and Rapeseed Oil are coming on stream at the
moment and Stephen has just completed an automated bottom loading system
for a local company Gro-Oil in Bandon Co Cork for loading their road tankers
as well as supplying and installing numerous types of pumps for filling
vehicles with Add-Blue and Bio-Fuels. All types of storage tanks including
fully bunded totally enclosed steel tanks up to 120,000 litres are supplied.
