Tom Raftery Car Sales - for all your Peugeot needs

Looking for a new or used light commercial to suit your needs? If so, main Peugeot dealer Tom Raftery Cars Sales outside Ballinasloe is certainly worth a visit.

Tom Raftery has many years of experience in the motor trade

Since its establishment in Clonfad, Co. Roscommon 15 years ago, Tom Raftery Car Sales has become known as one of the foremost car and light commercial dealerships in the Midlands and West.
A main Peugeot dealer since 2000, the company has established a tradition of value for money and total dedication to customer service. Tom Raftery Car Sales stocks a comprehensive range of Peugeot cars and light commercials and boasts a loyal customer-base which is the envy of many garages in the area.

The Peugeot range of light commercials ranges from the nippy 206 Van to the spacious and robust Boxer – the new version of which will be launched on the Irish market early in the New Year. If you are looking for a particular model, you’ll probably be able to sit in it when you visit Tom Raftery Car Sales’ modern state-of-the-art showroom. If you are not sure what you are looking for, an extensive range of models are available to help you chose the right vehicle for your needs.
“We stock the full range of Peugeot passenger cars and vans,” explains managing director Tom Raftery.

“Peugeot is a well-established brand in Ireland and has a reputation for reliability, value for money and excellence. The Peugeot range of commercials sells very well, despite strong competition in the market. We have something to suit everyone and have customers coming to us from the surrounding counties of Roscommon, Galway, Offaly, Westmeath and further afield.”
Tom, who is a native of Tuam, has many years experience in the motor trade and set up Tom Raftery Car Sales in 1991. Initially, the company specialised in the sale of Japanese Imports before acquiring the Kia and Daihatsu franchises.

The Daihatsu dealership is still going strong, but the nearest model in the Daihatsu range to a commercial vehicle is the new Terious SUV which comes in two and four-wheel drive. This versatile jeep packs a potent engine, solid suspension and generous interior and luggage compartment into a small, stylish package.
The arrival of the Peugeot dealership has significantly boosted both the company’s profile and turnover. In 2002, the premises was transformed into a Peugeot Blue Box. The Blue Box is a global concept which has seen each and every Peugeot centre adhere to a new and distinctive template.

Tom now employs a staff of 12, comprising five technicians, two sales, two valet, two office personnel and a tyre fitter. All his staff are fully qualified and highly skilled and bring this to bear in the day-to-day running of the business. Tom Raftery Car Sales is open every day except Sunday from 9am to 6pm.
The Peugeot range of light commercials consists of the 206 Van, Partner, Expert and Boxer. As already stated, the new Boxer is on the way and will be followed by new and improved versions of the Expert and Partner. The new 207 car was launched last May with the van version expected to follow next year. This will eventually replace the existing 206.
“2007 will be an exciting year for Peugeot with the arrival of the upgraded models. We’re eagerly looking forward to the launch of the new Boxer which gets here in January. The Boxer is the ‘Transit’ of the Peugeot commercial range and comes in long and short wheel base.

“The Boxer may be the biggest van in the Peugeot range, but our top seller would be the Partner which is our second smallest van after the 206. The Partner seems to suit a lot of people, ranging from builders to farmers to electricians and plumbers,” Tom says.
The 206 Van is a compact and attractive 3-door hatchback van which has all the practical features you’ll ever need, and more. The rear of the van contains all you need for holding and securing your cargo, while the front end is crammed with many impressive features, including electric windows and radio/CD player, making you feel as though you are driving a car.
The new Partner is as practical and reliable as ever, but now with its exciting new design, it looks even better. From a choice of two badge levels, two payloads, three engines and with the addition of some attractive new colours to the range, the new Partner offers a specification to meet all your practical needs. With a newly designed radiator grille, a more robust bonnet, reinforced bumpers and curvaceous wings, it’s sure to turn heads.

The new Expert is good looking and functional – there’s no compromise and the makers have managed to create a contemporary working van that combines dynamism with impressive strength. It has a look that sets it apart from other vans, especially with its new body colours and the hard wearing, good looking Volea seat fabric.
With the new Boxer, Peugeot have developed a range of generous and economic engines, re-examined its safety features and overhauled the ergonomics. It is the ultimate utility vehicle – more robust, more comfortable and safer than it’s ever been. So if you’re keen to improve your efficiency, enhance your company’s image and work in better conditions, try the new Boxer.
Of course, Tom Raftery Car Sales also stocks the full range of Peugeot passenger cars. These include the 206, 206cc, 207, 307, 307cc, 407, 607, 807 and Combi, which is essentially a passenger van.
An extensive range of used cars are always in stock at Tom Raftery Car Sales. Platinum Used Cars come with a one-year warranty, 115-point check and 12-month RAC roadside assistance. Platinum Used Cars is a quality-assured, Peugeot dealers of Ireland programme.

“Sales have been strong over the past couple of years due to the quality of our vehicles and the buoyant economy. Hopefully we will continue to perform well in the coming years. We are strategically located just outside Ballinasloe and the completion of the new M6 over the next few years will bring us that much closer to both Dublin and Galway,” he concludes.
