SDC are not only the largest trailer manufacturer in the UK but their parts and service department has now introduced an innovative all makes parts programme for trucks.

With a modern 4,000 sq ft parts warehouse, the company, established since 1978 has now grown to become a virtual ‘one stop shop’ for operators no matter what make or type of truck and trailer they drive, with genuine parts readily available.
SDC now have sales manager Kevin McGuckian (086-3353687) in the Republic of Ireland meeting directly with our customers to ensure that SDC are always improving our service and prices to our customers.
The company’s modern parts building - located opposite their main production facility - is staffed by a nine-strong team of highly qualified personnel, meaning you will never have to linger in a queue, waiting to be served. Prompt responses to enquiries are always appreciated, especially in the fast moving and demanding transport world.

With agencies for all the main parts suppliers, SDC’s parts department have been providing a service to the commercial market for more than two decades, and in that time they have gained valuable experience in the market.
“We are very conscious of needing to be in a position to offer brand name products at a competitive price, so we have worked hard to ensure those twin objectives have been met,” says SDC’s Gavin Diamond.
“We also recognise that our customers would like the luxury of purchasing from a one stop shop.”

Parts Catalogue
SDC recognise, too that a lot of purchasing is now done over the telephone, and it is important that they get the right trailer parts to the customer so they have developed a trailer parts catalogue, which means their customers can easily identify the correct components and know that they will be delivered promptly.
With many of SDCs trailers being sold across Ireland and the UK, the company also has parts departments across the UK to serve all customer needs.

The extended facilities, combined with the company’s large purchasing power, also means customers do not have to pay over the odds for parts.
“Because we can buy parts at a very competitive price, we are able to pass on those savings to out customers,” said Gavin.
And he added “While our range is comprehensive, there may be times when we haven’t got a particular part, but that can be readily sourced and ordered for next day delivery, as we recognise operators cannot afford the luxury of unnecessary downtime.”

Further extension in SDC Repairs

Also on a further note from the start of 2008 SDC Repair Centre will have completed an extension to our current workshop whereby we have invested in our painting system for repair refurbishments with installation of a high tech blasting system and painting system, also we have added six more working bays which will in total give SDC a repair shop capacity of 22 working bays.
