All repairs Wrecktify(ed)
We all suffer it at one time or another, unfortunately crashes are a common
occurrence in modern day society, but in the majority of cases, vehicles
can be repaired and at Wrecktify Ltd, the smallest tip is
treated with the same care as major car or truck damage.

David Pluck is the managing director of Wrecktify and he took time out
from his busy schedule to speak to Irish Trucker about the success of
the business and how it has edged ahead of its rivals in recent years.
The crash repair industry is a highly specialised area and all personnel
must be highly trained in their field of expertise. However, Wrecktify
is not just about crash repairs, but the company also do specialised respraying
jobs and have an impressive client list.
Situated just off the Naas Road at Old Milltown, the business has been
in operation for the past 13 years, while David has 25 years experience
in the industry and he revealed that the move to their new premises made
good business sense.
We were based in Clondalkin before this but moved about five years
ago. I bought a site just off the Naas Road that comprises of 5,000sq
ft, of which a quarter of an acre is covered under concrete, so there
is plenty of parking, said David.
Most companies rely on a major advertising campaign to attract business,
but he admitted that his business has been built on word of mouth.

Advertising is not something that has been used much to promote
the business. One job just leads to another and that is how the customer
base has expanded. We pride ourselves on doing a good job and if that
level of service can continue, hopefully more and more work will come
in. We are extremely busy at the moment, but no job will be turned away.
With a client list that includes Reynolds Logistics, TOP Oil, Joe
Harris Light Commercials, Mercedes and Kingsley Transport to name just
a few, it would be understandable if Wrecktify were to turn away some
smaller jobs, but that is certainly not the case.
No matter if its the smallest scratch; we will give it the
utmost attention, because everyone is a valuable customer that will be
treated equally. We go that bit extra in terms of attention to detail
and that gives more quality to the finished product.
Wrecktifys customer base is not the only area in the company that
continues to grow as the premise has also seen many changes, while there
are plans for a new office and canteen in place.

Like all businesses, a reliable work force is needed to keep the high
standards maintained and David is fortunate to have such employees that
are well trained and dedicated to their job. In his role as workshop manager,
Damien Moore ensures that the operation runs smoothly.
Im lucky to have such a good staff and without Damien and
the rest, the business would not be as successful as it is today. A reliable
staff is essential to the running of any company.
Wrecktify has an emphasis on quality, price and timing, which has seen
the profile of the company rise over the years and the company MD believes
that the quality is worth paying for.
We use hi-solid and water based paints and go that extra bit more
than some of our competitors, but our main aim is to provide a quality
service and ensure that the vehicle, whether it be a truck or car, repaired
as new. In regards to trucks, it is important for our customers to have
their vehicles back on the road as soon as possible and we try to keep
them for the minimum time possible, although there is no way we will rush
a job either, he stressed.
VOC legislation and changing refinish materials have meant that many body-shops
have recently invested in, or are in the process of considering a new
spray booth. It is an essential piece of kit for anyone serious about
their involvement in the refinish market. But while many body-shop businesses
have agonised over the investment required others have quite literally
seen this as an opportunity to take their business on to a whole new level.
Wrecktify has made this leap and have installed a double commercial spray
booth, which has added to the success of the business considerably.

At one end of the spectrum is a successful car repair and refinish operation
with it own standard booth. This tends to specialise in prestige work
and has established a strong niche with marques such as Mercedes, BMW
and Rolls Royce. In the middle ground the business tackles lots of van
and light commercial vehicle work as well as more off-beat paint jobs
such as limousines. At the top end Wrecktify also specialises in the repair
and painting of trucks, heavy commercial vehicles and coaches.
David spent a considerable time assessing the commercial booth options
available before he eventually settled on Guangli booth from his long
time supplier Vinny Byrne. He says, We found that the Guangli booth
not only offered outstanding value for money, but also that the team at
Vinny Byrne were able to tailor the design to fit into our premises.
He adds, This was very important because of the space we had to
work within and the particular requirements we had in terms height and
dividing doors. The new booth is opening up new markets and business possibilities
to us all the time. It means we can turn jobs around much quicker and
produce a finish that offers the very best in quality and durability.
Even the most unusual jobs are catered for by the firm and customers can
have the piece of mind that Wrecktify is fully insured to cover all eventualities,
while it also has the necessary licence to perform its business competently.
Wrecktify is a burgeoning business that is focused on improvement and
delivering an even better service to its customers, if thats possible
and with David driven to succeed, whos to stop this company from
reaching its goal in the foreseeable future.
