McElvaney Motors recently delivered 13 new R420 Scania Tractor Units to Superquinn and Wincanton

Wincanton is a European leader in the design and delivery of advanced supply chain solutions and enables customers to optimise their logistics requirements on a local, regional or national level. The company has a number of high profile customers in Ireland including Superquinn.
Together, Wincanton and Superquinn have developed a €35 million National Distribution Centre in Blanchardstown, Co. Dublin, which handles the warehousing and distribution of chilled and ambient temperature grocery goods for the Superquinn chain of supermarkets. The elements of this business are managed by Wincanton on behalf of Superquinn.

The National Distribution Centre allows Wincanton to operate a day1 for day2 policy (order today deliver tomorrow) for Superquinn. As a result, goods are supplied as fresh as possible. In order to meet this request, a fleet of top quality and reliable trucks were required. Having considered a number of truck suppliers, Superquinn chose McElvaney Motors Ltd to provide them with the 13 Scania trucks. McElvaney Motors Ltd specialises in the provision of new and used trucks and parts. With a premises in both Monaghan and Dublin and with more than 80 employees, the company is the Main Scania Dealer for the North East.
