FPS Expo 2008

FPS EXPO 2008 is the event for the oil distribution industry in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The exhibition provides an opportunity to see at first hand the latest products and innovations in the industry. The conference provides a platform for confronting issues and legislation affecting the industry.

Any company that provides a service or product to the oil distribution industry - from tanker and commercial vehicle manufacturers to computer software suppliers and tank manufacturers – is invited to exhibit. The exhibition should in turn be hugely beneficial to owner-drivers, managers, senior managers and directors … basically, anyone who has an interest in products or services for the oil distribution industry.

The increasingly-popular FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers) EXPO is recognised as the UK’s definitive event for oil distribution industry professionals, bringing together a comprehensive cross-section of leading industry suppliers as well as educational features aimed at solving current issues facing the industry. Always striving to accurately reflect the needs of today’s oil distribution professional, FPS EXPO 2008 will offer an array of innovative new attractions. Visitor numbers for the 2007 show reached over 1,800 and it is expected that the 2008 event will attract even more.

The 2008 EXPO commences with a Golf Competition at 9am on the Wednesday followed by the exhibition itself which runs from 10.30am until 5.30pm. On Day Two, the exhibition runs from 9am until 4.30pm approximately. The Federation’s AGM takes place at 10am and the two-day extravaganza concludes with the FPS EXPO 2008 Awards Dinner.
At the Dinner, prizes will be presented to the 2008 FPS Depot of the Year and 2008 Driver of the Year winners – the Oscars of the oil distribution industry! The awards illustrate the continuing high value FPS places on customer service, professionalism and improved safety standards.

Established in 1979, the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers Limited is the trade association for oil distributors and ancillary interests in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. There are currently 286 members. The FPS provides a collective voice for the industry at national levels, services to assist members in optimising their business efficiencies and promotes best practice in the industry. Membership services include credit information, regular industry circulars, depot certification, discounts on goods and services, insurance tailor-made to the industry, updates on new and draft legislation and a guide to good practice.
