Graffiti Me!
A UK-based haulier has adopted a unique approach to graffiti: rather than
combating it, he is encouraging it! To such an extent that he has incorporated
the work of a renowned graffiti artist into his fleet

Mick George Limited the premier provider to the construction and
waste industries in the East of England is taking a stance thats
both proactive and a welcome breath of fresh air.
The whole unlikely story had its origins in a chance encounter between
company financial director Jon Stump and the graffiti artist in question,
whom he witnessed in the act of skilfully spraying a bridge near Cambridge.
As it happened, the bridge in St Neots wasnt being vandalised; it
was actually the subject of a project jointly overseen by the local district
council and a charity for vulnerable young people (called Natural High).
Jon stopped and chatted with the young artist and asked him would he be
interested in applying his imaginative paintwork to some of the construction
vehicles in Mick Georges extensive fleet.
As it transpired, the man in question was internationally-acclaimed graffiti
artist Jonnie Barton a professional graffiti artist whose company
Kosha Creations has undertaken a wide range of projects across the UK.
Jonnie agreed to contribute and his designs have proven extremely popular
since they were applied to the vehicles.
According to Jon Stump: I thought the application of graffiti art
to our bulk vehicles would be eye-catching, contemporary and unique. Our
vehicles used to be a bit bland but they have benefited enormously from
the distinctive new graphics and they continue to generate many favourable
comments from our customers and the general public.
