Hanbury Davies chooses TIP for Container Fleet Replacement

Hanbury Davies Containers Ltd is taking delivery of 45 new Dennison sliding skeletals on lease from TIP. The trailers will be coupled with new Scania 6x2 tractor units, and with their striking livery of Hanbury Davies’ distinctive burgundy and yellow corporate colours, are sure to stand out on UK motorways.

According to Ian Wilson, Managing Director of Hanbury Davies, TIP were asked to supply the trailers because of the excellent service he had received from TIP in the past. As one of the largest trailer rental firms in the UK, Hanbury Davies were confident that TIP would be able to provide them with a comprehensive, professional service. Hanbury Davies chose to lease the equipment rather than purchase as it gave them the benefit of having known operating costs over the contract period, whilst eliminating the risk of unpredictable costs.

The four year fully inclusive lease includes all maintenance, tyres, MOT and Roadside, TIP’s unique 24-hour emergency breakdown service designed specifically for trailers. All routine maintenance and repair work will be carried out at TIP’s Felixstowe branch, conveniently located near to Hanbury Davies’ own premises.

The multi-function triaxle sliding skeletals, able to carry 20,30, 40 and 45 foot containers, were chosen for their award winning design, safety features and light weight.
