Michelin regrooving display at Trinity Truck Services
one-stop shop open day
A truck type regrooving demonstration by Michelin was a feature
of the open day held recently by Trinity Truck Services, the new
Northampton based ‘one stop shop’ for commercial vehicles.
The latest edition of Michelin’s new and comprehensive Regrooving
guide has now been published was also on display at the open day.
Trinity Truck Services is a joint venture supported by ATS Euromaster
and Shell to provide a total service package to operators. In
addition to a full range of repair and maintenance services under
one roof, the services provided by Trinity Truck Services that
will be supported by ATS Euromaster will include the supply of
a full range of the latest Michelin tyres for regional, national
and long haul European routes.
Trinity Truck Services site in Northampton is to be the first
of many similar operations in the UK. Two European sites have
already opened in Lyons and Nimmes in France and more sites are
planned for the future. Repair and maintenance services provided
by Trinity Truck Services include MOT preparation, tachograph
inspections, trailer inspection and repair, chassis steam cleaning,
breakdown recovery and a complete vehicle health check through
on-site oil sampling and diagnosis.
There are ten workshop bays at the Trinity Truck Services Northampton
site all fully equipped with the latest tools and facilities.
A 24 hour shift system is operated by a dedicated team of skilled
mechanics. Darren Lindsey is Managing Director of Trinity Truck
Services, “We are expanding fast and Michelin’s comprehensive
range of tyres is integral to our policy of supplying customers
with the very highest quality of service and parts,” he said.
Regrooving is a quick, easy and economical process which greatly
improves wet road grip and safety as a result of the deepening
and widening of the tyre’s tread pattern. The process extends
tyre life by up to 28.5 per cent and is an essential feature of
Michelin’s renowned Four Lives Package which helps operators
achieve the best performance from their Michelin tyres. The Four
Lives Package - New, Regroove, Remix and Remix Regroove - delivers
2 1/2 times the mileage for 1 1/2 times the cost.
