Heineken drivers mount work stoppage
A five hour work stoppage at the Heineken Ireland plant in Cork
arose because from a misunderstanding according to SIPTU.
It is believed that a number of truck drivers refused to take
out their vehicles after one driver was asked to undergo a a breathalyser
test in a random spot drink driving test.
SIPTU official Eddie Mullins said the stoppage had arisen as a
result of a misunderstanding and confirmed that the matter was
over as far as the union was concerned.
