Rosslare Europort to get 6.2 million euro investment

Ireland’s premier gateway to Britain and Europe, Rosslare Europort is to receive a 6.2 million euro investment from Iarnrod Eireann. Since 1992 Iarnrod Eireann has invested £28.5 million in a programme of continuous infrastructure improvement at Rosslare Port.

Most of the capital investment in the port will be used to upgrade infrastructural facilities on piers one and two, to incorporate the upgrading of mooring facilities, structural improvements to the piers and relocation of the export freight building.

During the last decade shipping business and traffic throughput at Rosslare has grown rapidly with the Europort becoming one of Ireland’s leading Ferryports.
