Tommy splashes out for roundabout

A Co Kildare businessman who has forked out euro 1.3 million to build his own roundabout is now preparing to build a new road.

Tommy Tougher, the owner of Tougher's Restaurant and Filling Station on the Naas - Newbridge road decided to build the roundabout following a spate of accidents outside his premises.

He is now promoting a plan to build a link road through his 300-acre business park linking Newhall,Naas and Newbridge. The multi-million euro investment will also include a conference centre and sports grounds on the outskirts of Newbridge.
