Waterford port to get euro 60 million upgrade

An Bord Pleanala has cleared the way for a euro 60 million development at Waterford Port.

An additional 36 conditions have put on the development at Belview Port on the Kilkenny border, but these will not hinder the development, according to Ben Gavin, chairman of the Port of Waterford company.
The works will upgrade facilities, boosting its container shipping business and other key trade.
