Britain adopts new code of practice on illegals

The British Government has produced a revised draft Code of Practice for the level of penalties to be imposed if illegal immigrants are found on board vehicles entering the UK.

The draft code makes it clear that if a carrier can prove he has complied with the 1999 Code of Practice by producing check lists and instructions, he won't be fined if illegal immigrants are subsequently found.
