Bleak weather is set to continue

Driving conditions throughout Leinster were described as "atrocious" yesterday, 14th November as over two inches of rain brought traffic to a standstill.

Met Eireann said 50mm of rain fell in 24 hours, while gale force winds made driving conditions hazardous.
Many roads including a stretch of the M50, near Blanchardstown were flooded.

Met Eireann said last night, 14th November that the inclement weather conditions would continue for the next few days.

Driving rain and gale force winds, followed by showers are expected early next week after a brief respite at the weekend.
