RHA fumes at super-cube ban

Road hauliers in Britain and Northern Ireland have heavily criticised the Government’s decision to implement a maximum operating height of 4.65 metres on Irish roads.

Road Haulage Association chief executive Roger King says many hauliers involved in UK-Ireland traffic are operating trailers above the proposed 4.65 metre ceiling.

“It is surely not acceptable for any member state within the EU to arbitrarily introduce a change that will materially affect the viability of businesses,” he fumed.
