RAC issues headlights appeal

RAC Ireland has urged motorists to drive with their headlights on at all times, in a bid to halt the number of fatalities on the country’s roads.

RAC Ireland says the extra visibility afforded to motorists and other road users could help to halt the carnage on the roads.

The motoring organisation said driving with headlights on during daytime running is especially effective during the dark days of Christmas and the New Year.
