MOOG catalogue steers range in right direction
Latest edition showcases enhances customer features and updated offering.
Federal-Mogul's chassis parts brand, Moog, has produced its most complete
parts catalogue (CATMO401) ever, featuring 100 new references.
With a total of 1551 references, the catalogue now covers a massive 4500
applications. This means that, in less than three years, the Moog brand
has become one of the leading chassis parts suppliers in the European
Aftermarket.
Moog is widely renowned at being America's number one chassis parts brand,
providing vehicles with improved performance, better handling, added durability
and enhanced quality. It is with this pedigree and with Federal-Mogul's
OE mentality that the brand has been able to translate this success into
the European-Aftermarket.
Having listened to customers' comments and opinions on the previous Moog
catalogue, Federal-Mogul has reacted accordingly and launched a number
of new customer-friendly functions into the new publication.
Building on the premise in the previous edition of showing customers diagrams
of the products, Federal-Mogul has gone one step further with the introduction
of actual product photos and, displays of where they are positioned inside
the vehicle. This new feature eliminates any frustrations or potential
errors for users, allowing for easy product identification and cross-referencing,
benefiting all levels of the distribution chain.
Availability of the catalogue has also been enhances so that all Moog
customers have access to this invaluable source of information. As well
as being present on TecDoc, Europe's on-line electronic ordering system,
it is available via the internet with quarterly updates. And, adding to
the functionality of the catalogue, the Moog range for passenger cars
and commercial vehicles is available on its third edition CD-Rom (CCDMo301),
which has an easy-to-use layout featuring product pictures and cross-referencing
capabilities.
Moog is a complete programme of chassis, steering and suspension parts,
including ball joints, tie rod ends, tie rod assemblies, drag links, link
stabilisers, wishbone arms, track control arms, axial joints, bellow kits,
pittman arms and idler arms. Moog chassis parts are designed, tested and
manufactured in world class facilities and the range is supported by one
of the largest distribution networks in Europe.
Complementing the Moog chassis parts offering is a range of Silentblocs.
These are bushings enclosed in the suspension arms, which aid in the connection
of the arms to the chassis itself or to a link stabilizer. The catalogue
features 99 new Silentblocs references.
Federal-Mogul's European Chassis Product Manager, Michael Chopard says:
"Since the introduction of the Moog chassis parts brand in the European
Aftermarket, Federal-Mogul has continues to work in conjunction with its

is testament to the high level of effort put in to enhancing the Moog
chassis parts range and, firmly underlines our commitment to the Moog
