UK trucks seeks help after bank draft scam
A Gloucestershire based haulage company is appealing for information on
the whereabouts of a truck and trailer, which were stolen by deception
from Dublin Port recently.
The thieves used a forged bank draft to pay for the Scania
R124 420 6x2 ex Corby Chilled tractor unit and a dark blue Tirzan semi-low
loader trailer with hydraulic ramps, flip toe and side shift at Dublin
Port on Sunday July 11.
The truck and trailer were spotted later in counties Meath, Louth and
Monaghan.
The owners, Peter Gilder & Sons is offering a substantial reward to
anybody with information leading to the recovery of the truck and trailer.
The registration number of the truck, which was registered in 2000, is
W 387 KDO. The chassis number is 1258918. The chassis number of the distinctive
trailer is WTGLB 133900140084.
The company say there are only two such trailers in the Republic.
