Tyre depot gutted in Co. Cavan blaze

Firefighters from four towns joined forces to extinguish a major fire at a tyre depot in Co. Cavan.

The fire broke out at a tyre depot at Dairy Brae, a mile from Cootehill. At one stage the fire threatened to spread to an adjacent lorry compound.

Up to a dozen containers and thousands of tyres were burned in the blaze.
