Union wants SDS reprieve

The Communications Workers’ Union (CWU) has urged An Post to reverse its decision to close its parcel delivery service, SDS.

The CWU says the financial information used by An Post to justify the closure of SDS was manipulated and claims the decision to proceed with the closure is “unsound”.

The CWU is now calling on Communications Minister Noel Dempsey to intervene and to put the closure of SDS on hold pending an independent financial review.
