Bord Pleanala hears plans for E40 million waste management facility

A public hearing into a planned E40 million waste management facility on the Meath / Kildare border has got underway.

The hearing in Trim is examining the proposed development at Calf Field, Ballinadrummy on the Meath / Kildare border.

The developers, Thornton Recycling, say the facility will include a recycling centre, a non-hazardous residual landfill, an end-of-life vehicle processing facility, a bio-diesel recovery facility as well as a wood and tyre recycling plant.
