Continental post record earnings

Continental AG, the parent company of Semperit Ireland and Advance Pitstop has boosted its sales and earnings in the first half of the year.

In the first half of 2005, consolidated sales rose by 106% to E6,897 million compared with the same period last year.

In the first six months, we made considerable progress towards our goal of achieving record figures and we are looking forward to the second half of the year with confidence,” executive board chairman Manfred Wennemer commented.
