Boot to the headlight 2005
If you fell in love with Limerick and were bowled over by Punchestown,
then the National Show Centre, Cloughran, Swords, Co. Dublin is the place
to be this weekend for Irelands latest outdoor truck show.
Incredibly, Boot to the Headlight 2005, has been organised in just eight
short weeks by a small group of truck show enthusiasts from north County
Dublin.
Press officer Sean Doyle says the idea for a show in Dublin sprang out
of a conversation that took place at this years Punchestown event
less than two months ago.
To their credit, the organisers have found a venue, organised insurance
and booked entertainment for young and old in double quick time
The group have also organised a 52-category truck show, with more than
200 prizes on offer. More than 200 truckers have expressed an interest
in entering their rigs in the show.
