The popular Rip Off Ireland programme currently been shown on RTE 1 will
tonight (Monday 29th August) look at the tax income from motorists.
Over 665,000 people tuned into the popular programme last week and a large
audience is expected to watch tonight's episode.
Host Eddie Hobbs will highlight the tax that the Government make from
VAT, Vehicle Registration Tax, motor tax, vat on fuel and tolls.
The Government make in the region of Eur1506 million from petrol, diesel

Politicians have been angered by the programme in recent weeks as they
feel it portrays them in a bad light.
However, it has gripped the nation and tonight's edition will also look
