Businesses unhappy with road network
Businesses throughout Ireland have claimed that despite the massive investment
into the transport system throughout the country, the amount of time lost
in traffic jams is costing them a huge amount financially.
A survey revealed that 70% of businesses were unhappy with the state of
non-national roads, while 40% thought national roads were below standards
all over the country.
The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland Transport Users conducted the survey
and the findings will concern government officials. Companies have suffered
because of the traffic congestion and want something done about the situation.
Many believe that there is not enough being done in the infrastructure
of the roads in the country and have called on the government to invest
more funds into the development of the major roads.
