Cullen urged to intervene in Irish Rail freight decision

Transport Minister Martin Cullen has been urged to intervene in Irish Rail’s decision to axe part of its freight services from the end of July.

Cork TD Bernard Allen said the company’s decision to axe its “unit” rail freight service, would see more trucks on the country’s already congested roads.
Allen is now calling on the Minister to put pressure on Irish Rail to reverse its decision.
