Tyre sales manager’s trial continues

The hearing of evidence has concluded in the trial of a former sales manager with a leading tyre distributor charged, with conspiring to defraud An Garda Siochana.

Ben Meehan, a former national sales manager with Advance Tyres is accused of conspiring with a colleague Michael Queenan and Sgt Ronan Dunne to falsify figures so that Advance Tyres would retain a tyre contract in 1998.

The jury will hear closing submissions on Friday (March 11) and will begin its deliberations on Monday.
