Oil tanker spill causes chaos

An oil tanker shed its load over a distance of 40 miles from Clonmel to Carrick-on-Suir on Thursday (March 24), causing at least a dozen minor accidents in the process.

Gardai said the spill on the Waterford to Limerick road caused at least 12 minor accidents, before the gritting took place along the affected stretch.

The oil spill stretched from Bansha, past Clonmel, Carrick-on-Suir and towards Kilkenny city.
