Evolution order of the day for DAF at CV Show 2005
DAF Trucks is featuring new model derivatives, evolutionary enhancements
across its range and the lightest 44 tonner money can buy on its stand
at the CV Show 2005 which opens at Birmingham's NEC today.
There are five trucks on DAFs stand (No 510 in Hall 20) and they feature
the same philosophy - further improvements to reduce costs, improve payload
and productivity and build on the strength of a range which is outselling
its competitors by a significant margin in just about every market sector.
DAF FA LF 45.170 Day
Currently Britain's most popular 7.5 tonner, the DAF LF45 featured at
the CV Show is a haulage model and displays all the attributes which have
made the British-built LF the top of its class in productivity, driver
appeal and stylish transport. The Show exhibit features the new MS4150
satellite navigation system, now available as a factory fit option.
DAF FA CF65.250 Sleeper
DAF has made significant changes to the DAF CF65 in time for the show
which enhance its earning capability to reducing overall weight by up
to 150kg and provides a lower chassis height for easier manual loading.
The Show model features a sleeper cab and ECAS air suspension.
DAF FTP CF85.430 Sleeper
This CF85 is the lightest 44 tonne tractor available in the UK. Fully
to ADR and UK petroleum regulations specifications, the FTP CF85 tractor
can weigh as little as 7100kg ready for the road, including full fuel
tank, fifth wheel and mud wings. Offering British operators unbeatable
payload, its no surprise that the CF85 has been named Fleet Truck of the
Year on a record number of occasions. The Show exhibit features 12-speed
AS-tronic gear box, Vehicle Stability Control, DAF Engine Brake, alloy
wheels and 340 litre alloy fuel tank.
DAF FAX CF85.340 Day
This version of the popular CF85 is in the colours of BOC Gases - the
only customer vehicle in the DAF display. Its unusual 8x2 configuration,
with a steering/lifting rear axle, has not been seen at the UK show before
and is likely to attract considerable attention from operators requiring
an outstanding payload and manoeuvrability. The FAX CF85 is plated at
32 tonnes GVW but can be operated up to 44 tonnes GCW in drawbar configuration.
DAF FTG XF95.530 Super Space Cab - Alpine
Already firmly at the top of every drivers wish list, the XF95 is here
displayed with a state-of-the-art driver entertainment package from Alpine
Electronics. Fitted wiht newly available Xenon headlamps, 12-speed AS-tronic
automated transmission, ZF intarder, DAF Engine Brake, Alcoa high gloss
alloy wheels and even hig-vis red seat belts, this XF really is the ultimate
flagship.
When you're at the top of tree it difficult to go on improving but we
are at Birmingham confident that we've found still more reasons why, for
British operators, buying DAF makes really good sense, says Stuart Hunt,
DAF Trucks Managing Director. But its not just the trucks on the stand
that count - its also the competence and commitment of our back up which
really makes the difference.
