Monty on the move with Connolly acquisition

Northern Ireland’s largest haulage operator has expanded its operations, through the acquisition of Connolly Transport.

Montgomery Group has bought Connolly Transport, the Ballymoney based reefer specialists. Connolly's will now become part of Montgomery's Refrigerated Division.

Following the acquisition, Montgomery Refrigeration's fleet will increase from 47 tractors and 90 fridges to 73 tractors and 123 fridges.

Despite becoming part of the Montgomery Group and running in their livery, the new section will run as a stand-alone operation managed by Connolly's former Managing Director Clifford Connolly.
