Safety Council urge caution
A statement has been released by the National Safety Council warning motorists
to take extra care while driving during the winter months.
Wet, icy roads, poor visibility and fog are just a few of the hazards
that motorists can expect over the coming months.
NSC spokesperson Brian Farrell said: "The key factor is the change
in driving conditions. You've reduced light, it's wet and windy and you
have to change your driving habits to account for this.
"Motorists need more space on the roads and should take into account
increased stopping distances."
